So then guys, the brand new iPhone 16 is right around the corner, and today we’ve got a hands-on leak about all the colors that are coming to all the models of the iPhones. What I want to share with you today is not only the latest color options but also the anticipated release date and price. That’s right, guys, we are so close now to the iPhone 16 launch, I can’t believe it’s just around the corner. But we’re still getting leaks and rumors coming in all the time, and recently we’ve just had some more leaks and rumors about the colors of the iPhones. Specifically, the one I want to share with you today is all about the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus. We’ve also got some news about the iPhone 16 Pro too. Let’s dive in!
We’ve had this leak in from Sonny Dickson, who has shown us some iPhone 16 dummy models, giving us a hands-on look at the final colors of the iPhones. According to the leak, it looks like we’re getting a white, black, blue, green, and pink color this year. These new colors stand out quite a bit. The blue and green, in particular, look very different from what Apple has provided us in the past.
If you take a look here, this was the iPhone 15 blue, for example, and it looks very different from the iPhone 16 in this hands-on leak from Sonny Dickson. It seems that the iPhone 16 and the 16 Plus will have only five colors this year, and it looks like the purple color we thought might be coming is going to be missed out. But what I will say is that the green and blue definitely look different, and I really love that shade of blue. I think this is going to be the color I’ll get to show you guys when I do a review when it comes out.
This blue color brings back a vague memory of last year with the iPhone 15. We were expecting an electric pink and an electric blue, and this blue looks a bit more like that. I haven’t seen this kind of blue since the iPhone 5c. Don’t forget, this is definitely made out of a glass back, not a plastic back for the iPhone 16. The design clearly indicates it’s the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, with the vertical camera setup of the wide and ultra-wide lenses. The camera square has been squared down into a new pill design that we’ve talked about before. This is definitely coming.
Just to remind you guys, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will have 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens, respectively, similar to the last iPhone 14 and 15 models, as well as the 14 Plus and 15 Plus.
Moving on to the iPhone 16 Pro, what are we going to have here? We’ve had another leak just recently from a Weibo-based leaker called Fix Focus Digital. It suggests there’s going to be a brand-new bronze color added to the color mix of the iPhone 16 Pro models this year.
Where this gets a bit confusing is what the leak actually says. It looks like this bronze color is going to be the rose or rose gold color we’ve been hearing about. This report right here shows this, and it’s a bit confusing, I must admit. To me, it would be more logical to get the rose gold color, a bronzy gold color, the space black, and the space gray or white color. I think this is more likely to be the case here. There seems to be confusion between two different colors coming out this time.
There was no pink or other standout color for the iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone Pro. Instead, we got a blue color, which Apple loves to release as a special edition color. So, to have a new bronze or rose color will be different this year. If we do get this bronze color, I’m probably going to say it will be called Starlight, similar to the MacBook Air’s Starlight color. This is the kind of color I’m imagining if it’s a bronzy gold. It will likely have a full titanium finish this year for the iPhone 16 Pro colors.
Let’s talk about the release date for the iPhone 16 models. Based on what we’ve been told, Apple is likely to do another announcement in September. Looking at past history, Apple traditionally holds its event in the early to mid-September timeframe. We can expect the iPhone 16 models to be revealed during this event, along with the Pro models, possibly a new Apple Watch 10, maybe an Ultra, or even another new product or service.
Typically, the new iPhones become available about a week or ten days after the event. So, we are looking at around the end of September or early 20s of September when you can get your hands on the iPhone 16 models.
Now, about the price. It’s possible that Apple might raise the prices of the iPhone 16 models this year. For example, the iPhone X released in 2017 cost $999, and the equivalent model today, the iPhone 15 Pro, still costs $999. Despite inflation and rising costs over the years, Apple hasn’t increased the iPhone prices in USD. This year, however, we might see a $100 increase for the Pro models and possibly a $50 to $100 increase for the 16 and 16 Plus.
For those of us in the UK and other parts of the world, the price will vary based on currency exchange rates and import taxes. If your currency has weakened against the USD, you might see a higher price for the new iPhones. Apple adjusts prices to maintain the same profit margin worldwide, accounting for exchange rates and taxes.
